  • Full-time Associate Attorney (MA) Outstanding opportunity for an attorney with some foreclosure, real estate or collections experience.
Mid-size law firm specializing in secured creditor representation and residential foreclosures default-related litigation and real estate matters is seeking an organized, energetic, and self-motivated associate attorney for the firm's high-volume, fast-paced Massachusetts based Foreclosure Department. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities/Duties Responsible for all stages of the Massachusetts foreclosure process and other New England States as needed. Draft and file pleadings in state and federal courts. Demonstrate exceptional legal research, writing and verbal communication skills. Effectively communicate with clients and advise on possible case strategy and potential outcomes. Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve final resolution of cases. Attend various legal proceedings, including contested and uncontested court appearances in person or remotely. Report and track case activity and results in Firm's case management system. Skills/Qualifications Admission to the Massachusetts Bar, in good standing is required. Admission to the Massachusetts Federal District Court a plus. Admission to any other New England state bars a plus. Some experience in foreclosure, real estate, creditor rights/defense or debt collection is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills required with an ability to complete work efficiently and accurately within specific time constraints. Must be able to multi-task and adapt to various assignments. Must be able to work independently and manage a busy workload. Must be able to efficiently leverage technology, learn common software platforms used by the Firm including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook. Excellent Benefits Package The posted pay range for this position is the annual base salary range the Firm reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is based on several factors that may include seniority, relevant experience, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
