Job Summary A respected AV-rated litigation firm in Winter Park, FL is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing Medical Malpractice Defense practice. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a motivated litigation attorney who wants to build a long-term career in defense litigation while working with experienced attorneys, supportive leadership, and a collaborative legal team. The Associate Attorney will handle medical malpractice defense matters through all phases of litigation, gaining meaningful case responsibility, client interaction, deposition experience, hearing exposure, and trial preparation involvement. - Manage medical malpractice defense cases through discovery, motion practice, hearings, mediation, trial preparation, and resolution.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
- Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and work with medical experts and consultants.
- Attend hearings, mediations, court proceedings, and case strategy meetings.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, and internal legal teams.
- Support trial preparation and assist with trial strategy, exhibits, witness preparation, and courtroom support. Compensation and Benefits
Compensation:
$100,000 to $150,000+ base salary, commensurate with experience.- Bonus opportunities available.
