Lawrence, KS (Remote Eligible) Riling, Burkhead & Nitcher, a respected law firm with a 126-year tradition of excellence, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team. This is an entry-level position with mentorship, ideal for recent law school graduates or attorneys looking to begin their legal careers in a supportive and collaborative environment. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Remote work is available after completion of a 3-4 week in-office training period in Lawrence, Kansas. Candidates may work from any state, provided they hold an active Kansas Bar license and can complete the initial in-office training.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide phone consultations to clients on a wide range of legal matters Draft correspondence and legal documents Review contracts and related materials Collaborate with supervising attorneys Manage a high volume of client interactions efficiently This position does not involve court appearances or litigation.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Active Kansas Bar license in good standing One year of experience Strong verbal communication skills Proficiency with computers and standard office software Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment We offer a professional, supportive workplace with opportunities for mentorship and growth.
