Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable attorney to join the Tromberg, Miller, Morris & Partners, PLLC family. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of foreclosure law. The attorney will be responsible for representing clients in legal proceedings throughout the state of New York, while providing expert legal advice, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, handling contested matters and attending hearings and trials. Responsibilities Handle a caseload of residential, consumer, and commercial foreclosure matters from referral through resolution. Draft and argue motions, attend court conferences, conduct legal research and prepare pleadings. Communicate regularly with clients regarding case progress and strategy. Ensure compliance with all federal and state foreclosure requirements, including NY-specific procedural rules. Collaborating with the firm's other attorneys, paralegals and support staff to move files efficiently. Maintain accurate, timely billing and documentation. Traveling to and from various courts as needed. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Admitted to practice law and in good standing in New York State courts required. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience handling foreclosure matters is preferred. Strong litigation skills including ability to conduct; non-jury trials, depositions, mediations and motion practice. Courtroom experience preferred. High attention to detail Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to handle a caseload with minimal supervision. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of real property law, civil procedure, estate procedures, and title preferred Why Work With TMMP?
