Dominguez is a growing virtual law firm that provides advice and representation to federal government employees and labor unions nationwide, as well as individuals in non-federal employment law, family law, and juvenile dependency and delinquency matters. Our cases include employment discrimination (including harassment and retaliation), workers' compensation, unfair labor practices, and family law and juvenile matters. We represent clients before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), U.S. District Courts, Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, and California Superior Courts, including the Family Law and Juvenile Divisions.
POSITION SUMMARY
The firm is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented California licensed attorney—with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in that capacity—for long-term employment. This is a part-time position, with the expectation that it will transition to a full-time role within approximately six (6) months as the firm's caseload continues to grow. The associate attorney will be expected to handle matters with increasing independence, including conducting initial consultations, assisting clients through the early stages of their legal matters, mediation, discovery (propounding and responding to written discovery), drafting pleadings, taking and defending depositions, and attending hearings. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple matters efficiently, while communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of three (3) years experience as a California licensed attorney
- Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California
- Ability to manage cases with increasing independence
- Demonstrated history of employment stability
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with legal practice-management software (MyCase preferred)
- Experience with billable time entries (e.g., clear, accurate entries; no block billing)
- Experience conducting initial client consultations and follow-through
- Experience working in a fully remote or hybrid work environment
- Experience in family and/or employment law
