We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Personal Injury Defense Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have expertise handling personal injury defense matters, with strong litigation and/or pre-litigation skills. This position involves managing a diverse caseload, providing strategic legal counsel, and representing clients in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert legal counsel on personal injury defense matters. Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pre-litigation strategy, discovery, motions, and trial preparation. Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitration, mediation, and other dispute resolution forums. Negotiate settlements and work to resolve disputes in a cost-effective and timely manner. Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other correspondence. Develop strategies to prevent legal issues and minimize exposure for clients through proactive counsel. Handle depositions, court appearances, mediations, and client reporting. Stay up to date with changes in personal injury and insurance defense litigation to provide clients with current and effective legal advice.
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in personal injury defense or related litigation practices preferred. Proven ability to handle a full caseload with minimal supervision. Strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills. Experience handling bodily injury, premises liability, auto liability, or general liability matters preferred. Ability to provide clear, concise, and practical legal advice to clients. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills. J.D. from an accredited law school. Licensed in CA in good standing.
