Job Description

As a Commercial Lawyer supporting Nasdaq's Corporate Solutions business, you will play a key role in managing legal risk while enabling commercial success. You will partner with a small, agile legal team and cross-functional stakeholders to draft and negotiate commercial agreements, advise on legal and regulatory issues, and drive efficiency across the business. You bring strong commercial instincts, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting innovation in a fast-paced, global environment. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with clients, vendors, and strategic partners to enable business growth while mitigating risk. Advise business leaders, sales management, and product teams on commercial, legal, and regulatory issues, ensuring alignment among business objectives, legal and regulatory requirements, and enterprise policies. Assist in updating and streamlining of legal templates and documentation to improve usability, clarity, and consistency across the business, as necessary. Collaborate with Information Security, Product, Technology, Sales, and other Business Units to support strategic initiatives and resolve legal issues efficiently. Required Qualifications JD degree from a top-tier law school and active bar membership. At least 7 years of experience at a major law firm; additional in-house experience is a plus. Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial technology contracts for global businesses. Experience advising business teams on commercial, legal, and regulatory issues. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex legal concepts for diverse, non-legal audiences and work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
