Duties Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and legal opinions. Draft, review, and revise legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and memoranda with precision and clarity. Provide expert guidance on various practice areas including family law, probate and guardianship law Manage litigation cases from inception through resolution by preparing case files, coordinating discovery processes, and representing clients in court proceedings. Negotiate settlements and legal agreements that align with client interests while ensuring compliance with applicable laws. Maintain organized case management systems within the law office to track deadlines, filings, and case progress efficiently. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored legal strategies that address their unique circumstances. Skills Extensive experience in legal research utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms. Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive legal documents and correspondence. Some legal experience Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate favorable outcomes for clients. Familiarity with litigation procedures from filing through trial or settlement negotiations. Legal drafting proficiency for contracts, pleadings, motions, and other legal instruments. Prior experience in a law office environment with strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases simultaneously. Ability to conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis efficiently.
