Business & Commercial Litigation | Construction Disputes | Civil Litigation | Walnut Creek, CA An established boutique civil litigation firm in Walnut Creek is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing office. This is a hybrid position with a strong preference for in-office collaboration and mentorship. The opportunity offers hands-on experience handling sophisticated business and commercial disputes within a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment. The associate will work directly with experienced litigators on a wide range of civil litigation matters, including business disputes, construction litigation, commercial real estate conflicts, and other complex litigation matters. Key Responsibilities Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery Conduct legal research and case analysis Prepare matters for mediation, settlement conferences, and trial Attend depositions and court appearances Assist with litigation strategy and case management Handle discovery and document review Manage multiple active litigation matters simultaneously Qualifications 2-5 years of civil litigation experience preferred Strong legal writing and analytical skills Experience with depositions, discovery, and motion practice preferred Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar Interest in sophisticated business and commercial litigation matters Professional, motivated, and collaborative personality Compensation & Schedule Base salary: $160,000-$180,000 Discretionary bonus potential Hybrid work arrangement with approximately four in-office days per week preferred 130 billable hours per month Benefits Employer-paid medical coverage Dental and vision contributions 401(k) plan PTO, sick time, and paid holidays Wellness and commuter benefits Educational assistance and additional support programs This role is ideal for an attorney seeking substantive litigation experience, direct mentorship, and long-term growth within a boutique litigation environment.
