Job Description

Position Summary:
The Estate Planning & Elder Law Group is a growing, client-centered law firm dedicated to helping individuals and families protect what matters most. We are seeking an Attorney who is open to new possibilities, excited about continuous learning, and committed to delivering exceptional client experiences. Key Responsibilities:
Meet with clients to design customized estate and asset protection plans Draft a wide range of estate planning documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies, and advanced planning strategies involving asset protection and long-term care Medicaid planning Assist with estate administration and probate matters Handle trust and estate litigation matters as needed Communicate effectively with clients, courts, financial advisors, accountants, and institutions Conduct legal research and stay current on developments in estate planning and elder law Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, objections, and discovery demands Appear in Surrogate's Court for conferences, motions, and hearings Participate in and present educational workshops, seminars, and community outreach events Contribute to the growth and development of the firm through relationship-building and client service excellence Attend occasional out-of-state conferences and professional development events
Qualifications:
Admission to the New York Bar required (additional state admissions are a plus) Experience in estate planning, estate administration, or elder law is preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to build meaningful relationships with clients and referral sources Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to grow professionally and contribute to firm development Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively Open to learning new systems, processes, and best practices
