This role is based out of the firm's Laurel, MD area office, with hybrid or remote flexibility possible for the right candidate.Note:
Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the Virginia Bar and have 5+ years of relevant attorney experience. Title, foreclosure, bankruptcy, mortgage banking, or creditors' rights experience is strongly preferred. Job Description Manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload involving foreclosure, title, bankruptcy, mortgage banking, and related legal matters Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and court procedures Attend hearings, status conferences, and other court appearances as needed Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal team members Provide practical, creative legal solutions that help mitigate client risk and move matters forward Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff across a multi-office legal team Contribute to a fast-paced, service-focused practice representing financial institutions and mortgage industry clients Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Active Virginia Bar license in good standing required 5+ years of attorney experience required Experience in title, foreclosure, bankruptcy, mortgage banking, creditors' rights, real estate, or related litigation strongly preferred Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and case management skills Comfortable managing a high-volume caseload in a deadline-driven environment Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader legal team Strong client service mindset and professional communication skills Why You Will Love Working Here Flexible hybrid or remote options may be available depending on fit and experience No billable hour requirement Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity for growth and advancement within a respected regional firm Collegial, professional, and team-oriented work environment Strong support systems, training, technology, and processes Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, paid time off, and more JPC-982Job Type:
