C. is a small labor and employment law firm in Long Beach, California that handles both Plaintiff and Defense matters. We are seeking an attorney with 2-4 years of experience (preferably labor and employment).

Handling Attorney Responsibilities:

• Work and track assigned cases independently
• Prepare regular reports to client with case updates
• Attend client meetings and conduct workplace investigations
• Propound and respond to written discovery
• Prepare for and take/defend depositions
• Prepare case value reports for negotiations, mediation, and trial

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction and 2-4 years of experience (preferably labor and employment)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in legal research using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
• Ability to draft clear and concise legal documents
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team For a small firm, we offer excellent benefits including 100% payment of insurance (health, dental, vision, life, and chiropractic), payment of 50% insurance premiums for dependents, 401K matching (after one year employment), 3 weeks PTO per year, a full gym and shower in the office, and paid holidays (including office closure the week of Christmas).

Salary is negotiable. At a certain point, you may be eligible to participate in the profit-sharing bonus program. There are no yearly billable requirements
