HWM is a leading provider of legal services to the mortgage banking and financial services industries, with a strong focus on creditor representation in bankruptcy, foreclosure, replevin, evictions, collections, and REO closings. Position Overview HWM is seeking a Bankruptcy/Foreclosure Attorney to represent secured and unsecured creditors in consumer and commercial bankruptcy matters. The ideal candidate will manage a high-volume bankruptcy and/or foreclosure caseload, provide strategic guidance to lender and creditor clients, and appear in court proceedings. The attorney candidate should be able to: Represent secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. Represent lenders in regard to real property foreclosure, eviction, bankruptcy and general property laws. Prepare and review pleadings including proofs of claim, motions for relief from stay, objections to confirmation, objections to discharge/dischargeability, and related litigation matters. Appear at court hearings, mediations, and trials. Analyze loan documents, collateral issues, and creditor rights. Monitor and apply changes in statutes, rules, and case law. Communicate effectively with clients, trustees, and opposing counsel. Provide legal guidance and strategic recommendations to creditor clients.
