Overview:
Our boutique firm is looking to expand. We are seeking an experienced civil litigation associate attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work for a well-established small firm located in Bel Air, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional legal services, conducting thorough research using tools like LexisNexis, Lexis +AI, and drafting clear and compelling legal documents. As an integral part of our law office, you will not only support senior attorneys in case preparation, client consultations, and legal strategy development, but have your own clients, cases and support staff. •

Responsibilities:
Manage civil litigation cases from initial intake through trial or settlement Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests Conduct and defend depositions, mediations, and court hearings Perform legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and legal opinions Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts regularly Work collaboratively with partners and team members to strategize and develop case plans Maintain organized files, deadlines, and case documentation Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Admission to practice law in Maryland required 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred Strong research, writing, and courtroom skills Ability to manage cases independently with attention to detail Excellent communication, negotiation, and client service skills View our website at www.nowickiandassociates.com
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
