πΉ Legal Counsel (Hybrid β New York) We're partnering with a global, innovation-driven organization at the forefront of research, technology, and knowledge-sharing to hire a Legal Counsel . This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, international legal team supporting commercial growth across the Americas. π Location New York (Hybrid) πΌ About the Opportunity As Legal Counsel, you'll play a key role in providing strategic, business-focused legal support across a dynamic and fast-paced organization. You'll work closely with commercial and sales teams while partnering with colleagues across a global legal function. This role offers strong visibility, cross-functional collaboration, and the potential to broaden scope into additional areas of the business over time. π Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and licensing agreements across North and South America Partner with sales and business teams to support global licensing workflows Provide legal guidance on commercial contracts, intellectual property, data privacy, and compliance matters Act as a trusted legal advisor , delivering pragmatic and commercially sound advice Support litigation matters, including disputes, investigations, subpoenas, and discovery processes Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel on legal strategy and case management Monitor legal matters, budgets, and deadlines, and report updates to senior leadership Contribute to legal team strategy, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives β Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active membership in the New York State Bar 4+ years of experience in corporate/commercial law (law firm or in-house) Strong commercial judgment and ability to influence decision-making Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset π‘ Nice to Have Experience with publishing, media, or IP law Exposure to state and federal contracting Spanish or Portuguese language skills π What's on Offer Competitive compensation and benefits package Hybrid working model and flexible work arrangements Retirement savings plan with employer contributions Health, dental, and vision coverage Generous paid time off and wellness support Tuition assistance and professional development opportunities Inclusive culture with employee networks and engagement programs The SR Group (US), Inc. is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
