This one should not. I am working with a very good Jacksonville firm that is looking to add a Construction Defect Associate to its litigation team. The firm has a strong reputation, good people, and the sort of team setup that makes a difference when the caseload gets technical. This would suit an attorney with at least 4 years of litigation experience and meaningful construction defect experience. Someone who has dealt with the moving parts. Experts, subcontractors, developers, owners, carriers, project documents, inspections, reports, and all the usual noise that comes with these files. You do not need to be the finished article. But you do need to know this world well enough to be useful quickly. The work is detailed, often technical, and not always glamorous. Some days you will spend far too long thinking about water intrusion, stucco, windows, roofing, or who knew what and when. That is construction defect litigation. It suits a certain type of attorney. What's on offer Salary between $125,000 and $160,000 Hybrid working Strong construction defect work A genuinely good Jacksonville team Partners who are approachable and involved Good quality clients and active files The chance to keep building a proper litigation career without feeling like a number What they need At least 4 years of litigation experience Meaningful construction defect experience Florida Bar admission Strong writing and case management skills Experience with discovery, depositions, experts, records, and motion practice Someone who is calm, practical, and able to keep files moving This is a good one for someone who likes construction defect work but wants the right people around them. Better support. Better culture. Better platform. If this sounds close to what you have been looking for, feel free to apply and I will be in touch. Or, if you would rather have a quick confidential conversation before sending a resume, you can reach me on LinkedIn or call me directly on +1 786 891 0610.
