Corporate Counsel Location:
Fairlawn, OH (Hybrid)Salary:
Competitive, based on experience + excellent benefits Join Our Team as a Corporate Counsel As an important member within the legal function at Smithers, you will report directly to the General Counsel providing legal support and guidance for a global business. Successful candidates will be highly motivated self-starters with the ability to manage multiple tasks, be flexible in responding to changing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and work well as part of a team. The ideal candidate possesses a "get to yes" mindset while mitigating risk, and can translate complex legal jargon into actionable business advice.Essential Responsibilities Commercial Transactions :
Lead the reviewing, drafting and negotiation of a wide range of global agreements with clients and vendorsLegal Operations :
Serve as primary administrator for contract lifecycle management platform to streamline the contracting process and mitigate riskCorporate Governance :
Manage international and domestic corporate governance mattersAcquisitions :
Assist with various elements of acquisition work stream including due diligenceLegal Research and Analysis :
Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging laws and regulations or questions of law and provide summations of the samePrivacy and Data Security :
