Salary DOE + Book of Business-Based Structure A respected and growing North Carolina law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate M&A Attorney (7-10 years) to join its expanding corporate practice in Winston-Salem or Raleigh. This is a hybrid opportunity offering sophisticated transactional work, strong internal support, and long-term growth potential. Position Overview The ideal candidate will have substantial experience advising businesses in complex commercial and corporate finance transactions and will bring a portable book of business . This role involves leading transactions from inception through closing while managing risk, coordinating with tax and finance professionals, and protecting client interests. Key Responsibilities Lead mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures Structure and negotiate complex transactions Draft and negotiate purchase agreements and related transaction documents Conduct and oversee legal due diligence Advise clients on corporate finance matters Handle general contract drafting and negotiation Assist with business transactions and restructuring Coordinate tax planning strategies with internal and external advisors Counsel clients on corporate governance matters Ensure regulatory compliance throughout transactions Manage multiple deals under tight deadlines Qualifications Active North Carolina License 7-10 years of corporate transactional experience Strong background in M&A and corporate finance Proven ability to independently manage complex transactions Portable book of business required Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client management skills Licensed in North Carolina or eligible for admission What the Firm Offers Hybrid work flexibility Competitive compensation based on experience and book of business Collaborative and growth-focused culture Strong administrative and cross-practice support Opportunity to expand and scale your practice Salary commensurate with candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
