Criminal Defense Attorney

Seeking criminal litigation attorney to help expand practice. Candidate would have responsibility for representing clients throughout criminal defense process, and advocating for their rights in Court. Significant in-court and written advocacy responsibilities. Would be responsible for own caseload, as well as assistance with other cases of the firm. Primary practice is criminal defense in Massachusetts District, Superior, and Appellate Courts. Practice also includes some civil litigation, employment, and personal injury law. Requires admission to practice law in Massachusetts, and reliable transportation for Court appearances. Minimal requirements for in-office presence, most out of court work can be done remotely. Courtroom/trial experience preferred, including former prosecutors or public defenders. Candidate would be expected to be able to make court appearances shortly after start date. Candidate will be expected to apply for private counsel contracts for indigent defense (through CPCS). Salary commensurate with experience. Employee benefits negotiable. Expected start date of June 2026.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
