Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Elder Neglect Litigation Attorney to join our dedicated legal team. This role focuses on aggressively pursuing elder neglect cases, ensuring justice for vulnerable seniors through strategic litigation and compelling advocacy. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for protecting the rights of elders, combined with exceptional legal expertise across multiple practice areas. Responsibilities Lead and manage complex elder neglect litigation cases from inception through resolution, including trial preparation and courtroom advocacy. Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to build strong case strategies. Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity. Negotiate effectively with opposing counsel to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients while maintaining professionalism and integrity. Collaborate with investigators, expert witnesses, and client advocates to gather evidence and develop comprehensive case theories. Stay current on relevant laws and regulations affecting elder law. Maintain meticulous case files and documentation in our law office management system to ensure compliance and efficiency. Experience Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in litigation, particularly involving elder law or personal injury cases. Strong background in legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis; excellent writing skills for drafting persuasive legal documents. Demonstrated negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable settlements or verdicts. Prior experience working in a law office environment with legal administrative responsibilities is preferred.
