Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Employment Attorney to join a congenial boutique law firm. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate with expertise in California employment law, particularly in Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) litigation. Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of PAGA litigation, including case evaluation, discovery processes, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court.
- Provide legal counsel to clients regarding California labor and employment laws.
- Collaborate effectively with partners and associates to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Conduct thorough legal research and prepare well-structured motions and briefs.
- Oversee case management tasks to ensure timely and efficient handling of litigation.
- Develop strategies for class action and employment-related litigation cases.
- Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation efforts.
- Maintain compliance with legal standards and regulations while representing clients' interests. Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active California Bar admission in good standing.
- At least three years of experience handling PAGA litigation and related employment cases.
- Proficiency in drafting motions, briefs, and conducting discovery processes.
- Strong knowledge of California labor and employment laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Experience in civil litigation and class action lawsuits.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills for case strategy development.
