About the

Position:

Our client, a national law firm rooted in the Midwest, is seeking an experienced environmental attorney with 10+ years of experience to join its Chicago office as a Partner. This dynamic practice group helps clients navigate the full spectrum of environmental regulation and litigation, combining deep technical knowledge with strategic insight across air, water, waste, and emerging contaminant issues.

Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on environmental transactions and regulatory compliance matters, including renewable energy, greenhouse gas emissions, green marketing, and carbon sequestration
• Handle complex air permitting and air enforcement matters and cases and appeals involving water quality standards, treatment permits, and effluent limits
• Counsel organizations on litigation avoidance by staying compliant with all relevant rules and regulations

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with environmental transactions and regulatory compliance matters
• Experience with holistic cannabis matters within the environmental space preferred
• Interest and/or experience with business development

Location:

Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $325,000

• $425,000.
