We represent a wide range of clients across New York and New Jersey, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals navigating complex matrimonial matters. As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Associate to join our team and help carry high-conflict divorce matters from start to finish with confidence, professionalism, and precision. Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven matrimonial litigator with 5-7+ years of hands-on courtroom experience and the ability to independently manage divorce matters from inception through trial . This role requires a strong command of drafting, litigation, motion practice, and client consultations , as well as comfort handling court conferences, negotiations, discovery, and contested proceedings . Exceptional communication skills and an approachable, persuasive demeanor are essential. A background in sales or marketing is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities Manage matrimonial and family law matters from initial intake through final judgment , including trials when necessary Conduct client consultations , discovery meetings, and strategic planning sessions Draft and negotiate prenuptial, postnuptial, and separation agreements Handle motion practice, legal research, oral argument , and court appearances Lead and attend court conferences, mediations, depositions, and trials Communicate with clients with clarity, empathy, and authority Help drive case strategy and settlement positioning Maintain organized digital case files and internal communications Contribute to firm growth through referral relationships or client-facing consultation skills Qualifications JD from an accredited law school Admitted in New York and/or New Jersey (dual admission preferred) Minimum 5-7 years of matrimonial litigation experience , with trial-readiness Strong working knowledge of DRL 236(B) , equitable distribution, custody, maintenance, and child support Demonstrated experience in motion practice, evidentiary hearings, and contested proceedings Superior drafting and legal writing skills Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation abilities Ability to independently conduct and convert client consultations (sales acumen a major plus) Proficient with remote tools, legal case management platforms, and basic computing Highly organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fully remote work environment Personable and professional, with a reputation for client trust and courtroom confidence Compensation & Benefits Annual salary : $150,000 - $200,000, based on experience and trial readiness 401(k) plan with firm contributions Supportive, forward-thinking, and tech-savvy firm culture How to Apply Submit your resume, cover letter, and a relevant writing sample (motion, agreement, or brief) to [insert hiring email] .
