In this role, you will provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients navigating complex family law matters, including divorce, child custody, adoption, and spousal support. Your energetic approach will help clients achieve favorable outcomes while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for advocacy, exceptional research skills, and a comprehensive understanding of family law procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives through proactive legal solutions and compassionate support. Duties Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, visitation rights, and alimony disputes Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court filings with precision and clarity Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for clients Prepare for and participate in court hearings, trials, mediations, and client meetings with confidence and professionalism Stay informed about evolving laws related to estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and other relevant legal areas Maintain detailed case records and manage all administrative aspects of the law office efficiently Skills Strong knowledge of family law procedures. Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate amicable resolutions while advocating fiercely for clients' best interests Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to gather pertinent case law and statutory information Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and persuasive arguments Experience in litigation processes from initial filings through trial preparation and courtroom advocacy Legal drafting expertise with attention to detail in preparing pleadings and settlement agreements Prior legal administrative experience to manage case files efficiently while maintaining compliance with ethical standards Preferable if spanish speaker.
