This is a small office with only 1-2 family law attorneys. We seek a family law paralegal with at least 5 years of experience with family law cases in Wake County. The ideal candidate has experience drafting Complaints, Answers, Motions, Equitable Distribution Inventory Affidavits, Financial Affidavits, Subpoenas, and Certification of Initial Disclosures. The ideal candidate will have experience compiling trial notebooks , managing litigation deadlines, and working directly with family law clients. The paralegal will have the option of working from home based on the experience level. Duties Prepare and organize legal documents related to family law cases, including petitions, motions, affidavits, and settlement agreements Manage case files using legal document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Interview clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather essential information for case development Review and analyze documents such as financial records, custody arrangements, and court orders for accuracy and relevance Assist attorneys with court filings, scheduling hearings, and coordinating client meetings Draft clear and precise legal correspondence, reports, and pleadings while maintaining high proofreading standards Support litigation processes by reviewing evidence, preparing exhibits, and managing discovery requests Maintain organized case management systems to track deadlines, document submissions, and case progress Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and general clerical tasks to ensure seamless office operations Experience Proven 5 years of paralegal experience in family law cases in Wake County Extensive knowledge of family law procedures and court rules Experience working with Clio legal case management software Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction Demonstrated proficiency in document review, drafting legal documents, proofreading, transcription and contracts preparation Background in handling sensitive client information with professionalism and confidentiality Join us if you're ready to make a meaningful impact by supporting families through compassionate legal assistance.
