A well established, multi office law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its General Liability and Workers' Compensation practices in New Castle, Delaware. This role is ideal for a defense attorney who wants hands on litigation responsibility, consistent courtroom exposure, and a stable platform with long term growth potential.

THE ROLEThis position involves managing a broad mix of general liability defense and workers' compensation matters. You will be entrusted with active files and expected to engage directly with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.

Key responsibilities include:

Analyzing complex legal and factual issuesConducting thorough legal research and developing case strategyDrafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responsesTaking and defending depositionsParticipating in arbitrations, hearings, and trialsCommunicating with clients, courts, witnesses, and co counselManaging deadlines and advancing cases efficientlyThis role requires the ability to work on site in a hybrid capacity and to travel locally for court appearances and client needs.

QUALIFICATIONS5 or more years of litigation experienceBackground in general liability defense and or workers' compensation strongly preferredActive Delaware bar license in good standing, requiredStrong research, writing, and analytical skillsClear, professional communication styleDemonstrated interest in defense litigation
