This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with experience handling defense-side matters involving personal injury, transportation, general liability, catastrophic injury, and related civil litigation. The firm offers a collaborative environment where attorneys are given significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters for regional and national clients. This position provides a hybrid work arrangement and a clear path for long-term professional growth. Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution Handle all phases of litigation, including investigation, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related documents Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences Develop litigation strategies and evaluate liability and damages issues Communicate regularly with clients, providing case updates, recommendations, and strategic guidance Collaborate with attorneys, staff, experts, and clients to achieve favorable case outcomes Maintain high standards of professionalism, responsiveness, and client service QUALIFICATIONS
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Licensed and in good standing to practice law in California 3-8 years of defense litigation experience Experience handling matters involving personal injury, general liability, transportation, automobile liability, catastrophic injury, or related practice areas preferred Strong deposition, motion practice, and case management experience Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build client relationships Experience managing client-facing responsibilities and complex litigation matters is highly valued Familiarity with litigation management software and legal project management principles is a plus COMPENSATION & ADDITIONAL DETAILS
