Role:
At Shindler and Joyce Law, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented attorney licensed in Indiana to support our growing debt collection and creditors' rights practice. This role is ideal for an attorney who is comfortable managing high-volume workflows while maintaining strong attention to detail and compliance. It requires court room appearances including trial practice and motion practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and approve pleadings for filing in Indiana courts Draft and review demand letters and other pre-suit communications Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, including the FDCPA and Indiana-specific requirements Provide legal oversight on collection matters from pre-suit through judgment Communicate with internal staff regarding case strategy, documentation, and file readiness Assist in developing and refining processes to improve efficiency and compliance Handle escalated legal issues or disputes as needed
Qualifications:
Active license to practice law in Indiana (required) 1-3+ years of experience in debt collection, creditors' rights, or civil litigation preferred Strong understanding of Indiana civil procedure and collection practices Familiarity with FDCPA and related consumer protection laws Excellent written and analytical skills Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently Comfortable working in a technology-driven environment Preferred (but not required): Experience working with collection software or case management systems Multi-state licensure Prior work with collection agencies or high-volume firms
Compensation & Benefits:
PAY:
