Trademark Prosecution & Portfolio Management Conduct trademark clearance searches and risk assessments Prepare and prosecute U.S. trademark applications Draft and respond to USPTO Office Actions Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios Advise clients on brand selection, protection, and filing strategies Brand Protection & Enforcement Draft and respond to cease-and-desist correspondence Handle TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings Develop enforcement strategies for online marketplaces and digital platforms Coordinate with litigation teams on trademark and copyright disputes Monitor and protect valuable brand assets Strategic IP Counseling Advise on trademark, copyright, trade dress, publicity rights, and related branding issues Support product launches, marketing initiatives, and advertising campaigns Counsel clients on licensing, co-branding, sponsorship, and commercialization matters Review promotional materials for intellectual property and regulatory compliance Commercial Transactions & IP Agreements Draft and negotiate trademark licenses, coexistence agreements, and collaboration agreements Support IP aspects of corporate transactions and due diligence matters Draft and negotiate manufacturing, distribution, vendor, and service agreements Prepare creator, influencer, independent contractor, and endorsement agreements Advise on intellectual property ownership and protection in commercial transactions Qualifications Required 3+ years of trademark-focused experience at a reputable law firm Strong experience with trademark prosecution, enforcement, and counseling Experience drafting and negotiating commercial and intellectual property agreements Ability to independently manage matters and client relationships Active California Bar admission This role is ideal for an ambitious associate seeking sophisticated trademark and brand protection work, significant client contact, and a long-term platform for professional growth within a highly regarded practice.
