Job Description & Compensation Growing and busy firm in Tallmadge, Ohio seeks an associate attorney that has an interest in litigating. The ideal candidate is a recently licensed attorney or newer attorney that wants to be in a courtroom and working on litigation files. Litigation cases for this position will involve business disputes, real estate matters, landlord-tenant disputes and evictions, collection litigation, and other civil litigation.

The qualified candidate will:

(1) be motivated, responsible, independent, and able to positively receive instruction and feedback; (2) be eager to gain experience in civil litigation and the overall practice and business of law; (3) have excellent legal research, drafting, verbal, and organizational skills; and (4) have the confidence to quickly assume responsibility on cases, go to court, take depositions, and interact with opposing counsel and clients. Duties of a Litigation Associate will include: Drafting and preparation of motions, various pleadings, briefs, and discovery documents Attendance at court hearings, mediations, and depositions The candidate will work closely with attorneys to support case preparation and representation of clients, particularly in matters involving business/commercial litigation and real estate litigation. This candidate will also gain some experience working on transactional matters that do not involve litigation, but will predominately be focused on litigation matters. The successful candidate will receive mentoring from experienced litigation attorneys in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. Candidates should expect rapid personal and professional growth commensurate with their drive and willingness to learn. Compensation will range between $65,000

• 80,000 per year, plus the potential for significant bonuses based on individual revenue and client origination.

There is potential to make much more beyond your salary in this position if the candidate has the right work ethic. About Maguire Schneckenburger Maguire Schneckenburger Legal Group, LLC is a smaller law firm in Tallmadge, Ohio that has attorneys practicing in primarily estate and trust administration and litigation, Medicaid/Asset protection planning, guardianships, divorce and dissolution, real estate transactions and litigation, and business transactions and litigation. The firm has grown substantially in the last four years and is looking to continue its growth to best serve its clients. There are currently 10 attorneys and a whole team of support staff to support our attorneys, including the associate looking to be hired for this job.
