Litigation Attorney (1-8 years)

Description We are looking for a motivated Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team in Mission Viejo, California. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of cases, including lemon law defense, personal injury claims, and property damage disputes (plaintiff and defense work!). This role offers hybrid work, hands-on partner training, trial exposure, and a diverse caseload.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters, tailored to your experience level.
• Represent clients in court appearances several times a week.
• Conduct and defend depositions, with an average of 2-3 sessions weekly.
• Draft motions for summary judgment and other legal documents as needed.
• Respond to discovery requests and assist clients in providing necessary documentation.
• Participate in vehicle inspections and other case-relevant investigations.
• Engage in meet-and-confer sessions to resolve discovery disputes.
• Maintain open communication with clients, providing guidance and updates on their cases.

Pay is contingent upon experience with the duties above, as well as caliber of firms worked & stability on the resume.

Flexible start/end time. No formal billable requirement.

Hybrid:

Remote days available, depending on experience level (the more senior, the more days remote given).

• Minimum of 1 year of licensed civil litigation experience in California, with flexibility based on tenure.
• Active license to practice law in the state of California.
• Interest in lemon law or personal injury defense, with the option to specialize in either area.
• Proficiency in managing discovery processes, including requests and responses.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach to handling cases and meeting deadlines.
• Outgoing personality is a plus, but candidates who excel in research and writing are also encouraged to apply.
