Litigation & Commercial Contracts In-House Counsel New York, NY (Hybrid) | Full-Time Our client, a global professional services company with a fast-paced, growth-oriented legal team, is seeking a commercially minded Assistant General Counsel. Reporting to the General Counsel, you'll handle a mix of litigation, commercial contracting, and select employment matters across the business. What you'll do Draft and negotiate a high volume of complex commercial agreements (MSAs, SOWs, SaaS, NDAs, vendor contracts), advising on risk allocation, liability, indemnification, and IP. Counsel on data privacy and security obligations in commercial deals. Manage litigation matters end to end with outside counsel - employment, contract, and IP disputes - across U.S. and international jurisdictions, including strategy, settlement, and legal-spend oversight. Advise HR and business leaders on employment matters and manage pre-litigation claims, arbitrations, and agency proceedings. What you'll bring Strong track record with complex litigation and large B2B agreements, plus excellent drafting and negotiation skills. 8-12 years of combined commercial litigation and contracting experience; in-house experience strongly preferred. J.D. and active bar admission in good standing (New York preferred). Compensation Base salary range of $180K-$250K depending on experience, plus bonus and equity.
