Of Counsel Attorney Jacksonville, FL Hybrid work
Part-time Part-time Overview:
Our firm is seeking an Of Counsel Attorney who is passionate about helping women navigate family law matters and move forward with confidence. This position plays an important role in creating a positive and supportive experience for potential new clients during their initial interaction with the firm. The Of Counsel attorney will conduct consultations with prospective clients, assess their legal needs, and determine whether the firm is the right fit for representation. The ideal candidate is compassionate, professional, and an effective communicator who can build trust while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Legal advice is not expected during these consultations, as the purpose of the meeting is to evaluate the matter, discuss the client's goals, and explain the firm's process and approach. Training will be provided on the firm's consultation procedures, policies, and expectations. This is a part-time position, with consultations typically scheduled two to three days per week. Some flexibility in scheduling is available. Responsibilities Review prospective client intake forms and supporting information in preparation for consultations Conduct a consistent weekly schedule of consultations with prospective clients in person, by phone, or via Zoom Confirm intake information and gather additional details relevant to the client's legal matter Provide a professional, empathetic, and informative consultation experience for prospective clients Identify key legal issues and document detailed consultation notes for the attorney assigned to the matter upon retention Qualifications Juris Doctor degree required Active Florida Bar license in good standing Minimum of two to three years of family law experience Prior experience conducting client consultations preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Willingness to learn and adhere to firm policies and procedures, including participation in recorded consultations for training and quality assurance purposes
