  • Part-time, Contract Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Probate Attorney (Of Counsel) to join our legal team.
This role offers an opportunity to work on complex estate matters and collaborate with a dynamic law office. The ideal candidate will possess a broad legal background, including expertise in estate planning, litigation, and various specialized areas of law. This position is integral to providing exceptional legal services to our clients while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Responsibilities Manage and oversee probate cases, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations Draft and review legal documents related to estate administration, wills, trusts, and probate proceedings Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies Provide expert counsel on estate planning, family law, landowner-tenant issues, securities law, and other practice areas as needed Negotiate settlements and facilitate client communications effectively Collaborate with clients, courts, and other legal professionals to resolve complex legal issues efficiently Assist in litigation matters related to probate disputes or estate conflicts Maintain detailed case files and ensure timely completion of all legal administrative tasks Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing in RI Extensive experience in probate law along with familiarity in estate planning, litigation, environmental law, immigration law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, and other relevant practice areas Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and precise legal documents Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful client advocacy Legal drafting experience combined with strong research capabilities Prior legal administrative experience is preferred for effective case management This position requires a dedicated professional capable of handling complex legal matters with integrity and precision.
