Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Public Defender to join our legal team. As a Public Defender, you will provide legal representation to indigent clients and ensure their rights are protected throughout the criminal justice process by zealously advocating on their behalf. We are open to applications from entry level attorneys who just passed the bar up to experienced felony level trial attorneys. Responsibilities Provide legal representation to indigent clients accused of criminal offenses in Placer County at all stages of the legal process.
Thoroughly analyze cases:
review evidence, conduct legal research, and identify potential defenses. Draft legal briefs, motions, and other documents to support clients' cases. Give guidance and support to clients, explain legal processes, and help them make informed decisions about their cases. Work closely with investigators, psychologists, and other professionals to gather evidence, assess clients' needs, and provide holistic representation.
