Job Description:
A growing real estate investment platform is seeking a Real Estate Counsek with 3-5 years of experience to join its in?house legal team. This role is designed for attorneys who want to continue working on sophisticated transactions while gaining broader responsibility and direct business exposure. The Role You will work across a wide range of real estate and corporate matters, partnering closely with investment and asset management teams. The legal team operates without silos, allowing attorneys to engage across the full lifecycle of deals. Location Baltimore County, Maryland (hybrid schedule, 3 days in office per week) Key responsibilities include Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, and development transactions Supporting complex debt and equity financing transactions, including loan documents and guarantees Advising on entity?level and corporate matters such as structuring, governance, and maintenance Managing legal due diligence, including title, survey, organizational, and contract review Coordinating directly with internal deal teams and external counsel Ideal Background J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership 3-5 years of transactional experience, ideally in real estate, finance, or a hybrid practice Strong drafting skills, sound judgment, and interest in building a broad?based transactional skillset Why This Opportunity No billable hours - performance is measured by quality, judgment, and execution Exposure to complex, high?level transactions comparable to large?firm work Direct, deal?facing responsibility and meaningful business involvement Hybrid working model, with regular in?office collaboration
