Remote Senior Trial Attorney 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Dallas, TX 75202 $150,000 - $250,000 a year - Full-time JW Zepeda Law Firm, PLLC. 2 reviews $150,000 - $250,000 a year - Full-time Remote Senior Litigation Attorney — 12+ Years Experience Texas-Based | State & Federal Court Litigation | Future COO Track About the Role JW Zepeda Law Firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with at least 12 years of litigation experience to help lead and grow our litigation practice across Texas. This is a serious leadership role for a serious litigator. We want someone who understands that litigation is litigation : pleadings, discovery, evidence, motion practice, depositions, hearings, negotiation, mediation, trial preparation, and courtroom judgment. The subject matter may change, but the litigation fundamentals do not. The ideal candidate has handled cases in Texas state and federal court , can manage a significant docket, can supervise attorneys and staff, and is interested in helping build the firm's systems, culture, and long-term growth. For the right person, this position has a clear growth path toward becoming the firm's Chief Operating Officer . What You'll Do You will be responsible for leading litigation matters from intake through resolution, including:
- Managing a large litigation docket across multiple practice areas
- Developing case strategy and litigation plans
- Drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and settlement documents
- Appearing in Texas state and federal courts
- Taking and defending depositions
- Preparing clients and witnesses for hearings, mediation, deposition, and trial
- Negotiating settlements from a position of strength
- Supervising attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff
- Improving litigation workflows, templates, checklists, and internal systems
- Supporting client communication and case progress updates
- Helping leadership improve firm operations, profitability, and case quality Required Qualifications Candidates must have:
- 12+ years of litigation experience
- Active Texas law license in good standing
- Texas-based residence
- Experience litigating in Texas state court
- Experience litigating in federal court
- Ability to travel across Texas as needed
- Strong litigation judgment and case-management skills
- Strong writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom skills
- Experience managing attorneys, paralegals, or litigation support teams
- High ethical standards and professional discipline
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision Preferred Qualifications Strong candidates will also have:
- First-chair or strong second-chair trial experience
- Experience across multiple litigation practice areas
- Prior managing attorney, practice group leader, or law firm operations experience
- Experience with contingency litigation
- Experience improving workflows, systems, and team performance
- Comfort using legal technology, case management software, and modern litigation tools
- Interest in long-term executive leadership Compensation and Benefits We offer:

- Contingency fee splits of up to 20%, subject to case type, contribution, origination, and firm approval
- Reimbursement for approved business travel expenses
