Yes Location CountyQueens Street Address92-31 Union Hall Street CityJamaica StateNY Zip Code11433 Job Specifics Duties DescriptionCandidate will be responsible for drafting PARS of several case types including Major Capital Improvements, services reductions (Building-wide and Individual apartments) administrative determinations and others; conducting legal research on rent stabilization and rent control laws; tracking Article 78 appeals of PAR orders and other court cases involving the rent laws; may be required to draft internal memorandum and work on special legal research and drafting assignments. Minimum QualificationsThis title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the
NY HELPS
Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. At a future date, it is expected employees hired underNY HELPS
will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in aNY HELPS
title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.ASSISTANT ATTORNEY 1 NON-COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Law school graduation and/or eligibility for NYS Bar Admission.ASSISTANT ATTORNEY 2 NON-COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

12 months as an Assistant Attorney 2, or Admission to the NYS Bar and 12 months of subsequent satisfactory legal experienceSENIOR ATTORNEY NON-COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Admission to the NYS bar and two years of post-licensure professional legal experience.COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be reachable on the appropriate New York State Civil Service eligible list. 70.1/52.6 TRANSFERQUALIFICATIONS
One year of permanent or contingent permanent in an eligible title for transfer determined to be similar by Civil Service.
