Not churn. Not volume for the sake of volume. The opportunity This is a Tax Director opportunity within a firm where client relationships genuinely sit at the centre of the business. You will work directly with business owners, high net worth individuals and leadership teams on planning, strategy and forward looking tax decisions. You will also play a major role internally helping guide the direction of the Tax team itself.

That means:

Leading high level tax planning and advisory conversations Acting as a trusted advisor to clients rather than just reviewing returns Overseeing complex engagements across flow through entities, businesses and high income individuals Reviewing and mentoring Managers and Seniors within the team Helping shape workflow, client service standards and team development Working closely with firm leadership on growth and long term strategy Identifying opportunities for clients proactively rather than reactively This is not a back office reviewer role. What they're looking for Strong public accounting background with significant exposure to tax planning and advisory Comfortable operating as the lead contact for client relationships Experience reviewing complex returns and overseeing staff Someone commercially minded who can think beyond compliance Strong communicator who can explain tax matters clearly to clients and internally Natural leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and develop others CPA or EA required. What this solves You may already be operating at Senior Manager or Director level but feel boxed in by structure, politics or a purely compliance driven environment.
