Opportunity:
Our client, a leading CPA firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Partner to join their Private Client Services team. This is a hybrid role based in the New York office, with the expectation of traveling to other firm offices across the Northeast region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years serving as a Tax Partner at a mid market CPA firm and a strong track record in client service, business development, and team leadership. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing practice with a focus on high net-worth individuals, family offices, and closely-held businesses.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead partner-level compliance reviews and tax return signoffs
  • Provide expert client consultations on tax planning and regulatory changes
  • Drive new business development by preparing proposals and meeting prospective clients
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Expand the range of services provided to clients
  • Oversee and supervise complex client engagements and special projects
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate senior tax staff to support their professional growth
  • Stay current with emerging tax laws, business trends, and industry developments
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on thought leadership and technology initiatives
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • CPA or JD credential required
  • At least 12 years of progressive tax experience in a mid-market public accounting firm
  • Minimum of 2 years serving as a Partner at a CPA firm
  • Proven experience working with high net-worth individuals, family offices, and closely-held businesses
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring new clients and growing a book of business
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the Northeast region
