Deputy Solicitor - State Prosecutor

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced prosecutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in prosecution and management. Must have J.D. degree and license to practice law in South Carolina. At least 10 years experience in the practice of law preferred. Some experience in criminal law required. Prior experience as a supervisor preferred. Preference given to majority of career as a prosecutor but will also consider some experience as a criminal defense attorney. Must be able to multi-task and work well with other professionals, including law enforcement officers, court staff, and defense attorneys. Deputy Solicitor will maintain a caseload, supervise other attorneys and support staff, plan for court terms and advise other attorneys in the office. Candidate will be on-call at times to answer questions.
