This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation attorney seeking sophisticated commercial litigation work, direct client interaction, meaningful courtroom experience, and long-term career growth with a highly respected defense-side practice. The Memphis office is actively seeking an attorney who can immediately contribute to a busy litigation team handling complex commercial disputes. Litigation Associate Attorney Benefits & Compensation Competitive base salary commensurate with experience 1,850 billable hour requirement with bonus eligibility beginning at 1,950 hours, including a $10,000 bonus opportunity and additional production-based incentives Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with discretionary firm contribution Professional development, mentoring, and attorney training programs Clear path for long-term career growth and partnership potential Opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators on sophisticated commercial litigation matters National platform with a collaborative culture and strong internal referral network Litigation Associate Attorney Requirements & Qualifications Active Tennessee Bar license in good standing 3-6 years of commercial litigation experience Ability to independently manage litigation responsibilities while working collaboratively within a team Experience handling all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills Experience drafting discovery, motions, and dispositive motions Experience conducting and defending depositions Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities Strong academic credentials Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities Comfortable appearing in court and advocating on behalf of clients Ability to work full-time in the Memphis office Litigation Associate Attorney Background & Skills Commercial litigation experience in a law firm environment Defense-side litigation experience Experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Collaborative approach and desire to build a long-term career with the firm Litigation Associate Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities Manage and support commercial litigation matters through all phases of the litigation process Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal memoranda Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies Take and defend depositions Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and court proceedings Assist with case management from inception through resolution Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and experts Collaborate with partners and attorneys across the firm's litigation practice Provide practical legal guidance and strategic support to clients Location Memphis, TN 38119 Full-time, in-office position If you are a litigation attorney seeking sophisticated commercial litigation work, meaningful client interaction, courtroom experience, and long-term career growth with a nationally respected law firm, we encourage you to apply.
