Job Description

Banking & Finance Associate Attorney Dallas, TX I am working directly with the owners of a well-established, mid-size transactional law firm in Dallas that is seeking a Banking & Finance Associate Attorney to support continued growth within its lending and finance practice. This is a long-term opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful deal exposure, direct partner interaction, and a stable platform to deepen their finance skill set. The Opportunity This role focuses on representing banks, private lenders, and borrowers in a wide range of secured and unsecured lending transactions. The associate will work closely with senior attorneys on sophisticated deals and gain hands-on experience across multiple lending structures. What You'll Do Draft, negotiate, and close secured and unsecured credit facilities, including commercial real estate, equipment finance, asset-based lending, and acquisition-related financings Prepare and review loan documents and ancillary financing materials such as credit agreements, promissory notes, security agreements, guaranties, intercreditor and subordination agreements, and UCC filings Manage diligence review, disclosure schedules, opinions, and closing deliverables Coordinate directly with lenders, borrowers, and internal deal teams to move transactions efficiently Produce high-quality, detail-oriented work product in a deadline-driven environment What They're Looking For J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar 2-5 years of experience in commercial lending, banking & finance, or related transactional work Prior experience representing banks, private lenders, or borrowers in financing transactions preferred Strong drafting, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple matters while working collaboratively with partners and team members Why This Role Direct partner mentorship and meaningful responsibility on deals Exposure to a diverse mix of lending transactions rather than narrow, repetitive work Stable, profitable firm with a long-term growth mindset Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Collegial, professional environment with reasonable flexibility To Apply This is a confidential search.
