  • Brownsville, Texas We are hiring a skilled personal injury attorney in our Brownsville, Texas office to collaborate with senior attorney Luis F.
Baez on our large personal injury litigation practice. Candidate must be admitted and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas, or have recently taken the bar exam and awaiting results for admission. Responsibilities Manage an assigned caseload of more than 50 cases Follow firm protocols and case strategy Conduct depositions Draft and review legal documents such as motions, pleadings, notices and judgements Draft and review discovery Review all docket control orders, scheduling orders, and Rule 11 agreements Maintain internal case files with information from outside counsel, deadlines set by the court, negotiation offers and agreements and periodically update the files with information from the courts' portals Communicate effectively and professionally with staff, outside counsel, and other attorneys Prepare for and represent in court appearances, hearings, mediations, depositions and trials. Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to oversee caseload and meet deadlines. Qualifications Juris Doctor degree from an accredited school of law Licensed to practice in Texas, or awaiting results for admission Exceptional oral and written communication skills Exceptional time management and organizational skills Job Type and Schedule
