Job Description
Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney (1-3 years experience) A growing plaintiff-side personal injury law firm is seeking a Pre-Litigation Attorney to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a substantial caseload and play a critical role in maximizing case value before litigation becomes necessary. The ideal candidate will have prior personal injury experience and a strong understanding of case evaluation, medical treatment analysis, insurance coverage, and settlement negotiations. Responsibilities Manage a high-volume pre-litigation caseload (approximately 150-200+ matters). Review and analyze insurance policies and available coverage to identify all potential sources of recovery. Guide clients through the treatment process and provide strategic case oversight. Evaluate whether medical treatment is consistent with the mechanism of injury and supports causation. Assess the reasonableness and necessity of treatment in relation to the facts of the case and available policy limits. Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, and insurance carriers. Draft and negotiate settlement demands upon completion of treatment. Develop strategies to maximize settlement outcomes while efficiently advancing cases toward resolution. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active TX License Prior personal injury experience required. Attorneys with 1-3 years of experience are encouraged to apply. Top one-third law school academic performance preferred. Strong analytical, negotiation, and client-management skills. Ability to effectively manage a large caseload while maintaining attention to detail. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
