Job Description
Most people who read this won't qualify. That's okay , that's not who we're looking for. We're not looking for most people who have a law license. We're looking for a unicorn, and we're bold enough to ask for one. If you're the kind of lawyer who sees what needs to be done and does it without being asked, who shows up early when it matters and stays late when it counts, who is humble enough to be corrected and bold enough to speak up, keep reading. If you're not, we genuinely wish you well somewhere else. Who We Are Lone Star Legal, P.C. is a growing plaintiffs' personal injury firm in Georgetown, Texas. We fight for real people, mostly car and truck accident victims, TBI survivors, people hurt because someone else wasn't careful enough, or because they intended harm. Every case we take is the result of someone's worst day. We take that seriously. We are a small, close-knit team. We start every morning together with a huddle that includes encouragement, guidance, and prayer. You don't have to share our faith to belong here, but you should know up front: our faith shapes how we treat our clients and each other. It also forms our expectations of those we spend our professional lives with. Participation in prayer is always voluntary, but respect for those who participate is absolutely expected.
We are building something:
not just in caseload and revenue, but in reputation and impact. We want people who want to build it with us; people who want to change the lives of others for the better. Let's Be Honest About What This Job Is This is not a 9-to-5. It is not a place to coast, collect a paycheck, or wait for direction. This is a place where:
The work is hard and the stakes are real; You will be expected to figure things out, ask for help when you need it, and grow fast; Mistakes happen. What matters is that you own them, learn, and don't repeat them; Everyone pitches in, even when it isn't technically your job (yes, pick up the trash when you see it); The pace is fast, the team is small, and your effort (or lack of it) is visible. If that sounds exhausting (or beneath you), this isn't your place. If that sounds like exactly where you'd thrive, you might be who we're looking for. Who We're Looking For Someone who: Shows up: early when needed, late when needed, present always; Jumps in: sees a gap and fills it without being asked; Sweats the details: but doesn't let perfection block progress; Asks questions: and isn't too proud to be corrected; Actually learns from mistakes: not just acknowledges them; Speaks up: brings ideas, then respects the decision once it's made (even if it's not the one you proposed); Serves and leads: comfortable doing both; Does not view a law license as a right, but rather as an obligation;Adapts:
new systems, new challenges, without drama; Cares about clients: genuinely, not just professionally; Wants to build something lasting: not just push a few files and move on. What You'll Do Work directly alongside our nationally recognized senior litigation partner on active PI cases from intake through trial; Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and briefs; Be prepared to argue those motions and defend your arguments; Communicate with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, medical providers, and vendors; Assist with, and eventually lead, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials; Contribute your ideas, your energy, and your character to what we're building. Qualifications Licensed in Texas (or awaiting bar results with a clear, near-term timeline); 0-5 years of experience (PI or litigation background a significant plus, not an absolute requirement); Self-motivated, humble, dependable, hungry to grow; Looking for a career, not a placeholder. What We Offer Direct mentorship from a seasoned trial attorney who wants you to become exceptional; A team that celebrates wins, shares burdens, and shows up for each other; A faith-forward culture built on compassion, integrity, boldness, and service; Competitive compensation based on experience, with real room to grow; A front-row seat to building something great. How to Apply Submit your resume and a cover letter to admin@lonestarlegal.com . In your cover letter, tell us: Why you want to practice personal injury law; A real challenge you've faced and how you handled it; and Why this opportunity resonates with you. Begin your cover letter with the phrase "Ready to Serve." This will tell us you read this all the way through and mean it. Applications without a cover letter meeting each of these requirements will not be reviewed or responded to. No exceptions. Lone Star Legal, P.C. is an equal opportunity employer.Pay:
