Job Description

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a junior lawyer with 0-2 years of experience in our Energy and Natural Resources practice group in Houston. The Associate will work closely with the team on a variety of complex domestic and international energy transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, project development, project finance, project contracts, and related transactional matters across conventional, renewable, and transitional energy sectors. Greenberg Traurig's Energy and Natural Resources Practice brings together attorneys from across the firm and around the globe who provide advice to energy clients on important aspects of their business. Our attorneys have broad transactional, project development, regulatory, and litigation experience across many sectors of the energy industry, including oil and gas, liquified natural gas, electricity, minerals, and wind, solar and other renewable energy sources. The firm's exceptional multi-office platform, including key offices in major energy centers, enables us to serve and implement legal strategies for energy clients throughout the U.S., and in international markets. Job Requirements Candidates should be highly motivated, with 0-2 years of experience. Experience in energy is a plus. A J.D. degree (or pending a J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials, admission or pending admission to one or more state bars, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish are required . In addition, the ideal candidate will be diligent, energetic, and possess excellent writing skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines effectively, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. The candidate must be in good standing with the Texas State Bar. If not already admitted in the State of Texas, the candidate must sit for the Texas Bar Exam in the summer 2026.
