Opportunity:
A respected insurance defense firm in Houston is seeking a skilled Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigator who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes matters and wants to take ownership of complex cases from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Defend insurers and insureds in a wide variety of litigation matters, including general liability, personal injury, property damage, and commercial disputes. Manage all phases of litigation: pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials. Provide strategic case analysis, risk assessment, and guidance to clients. Collaborate with partners and colleagues to deliver high-quality legal representation. Supervise junior associates and support staff as needed.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school. Active Texas bar license, in good standing. Minimum 5 years of insurance defense litigation experience (trial experience preferred). Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills. Ability to manage a heavy caseload independently while maintaining strong attention to detail. Excellent client communication and relationship-building abilities.
