About the
Position:
JCA Law, PLLC is seeking a motivated attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to practice in the area of government entity defense, with a primary focus on education law. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in representing public school districts, cities, counties, and other governmental entities across Texas. 216 W. Village Blvd., Ste. 202 Laredo, TX 78041
Responsibilities:
Advise and represent school districts and other governmental entities on a wide range of legal matters, including student rights, personnel matters, governance, and regulatory compliance. Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents. Assist with investigations, administrative hearings, and litigation preparation. Attend school board meetings, trainings, and provide day-to-day legal guidance to clients. Collaborate with attorneys on complex legal matters and client communications.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school. Licensed by the State Board of Law Examiners of Texas as an Attorney and admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Texas Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent communication skills and a commitment to client service Interest in public service, education, and government law Minimum five (5) years of legal experience or equivalent relevant experience
Compensation:
Salary is negotiable based on experience.
