Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of legal areas, including family and criminal law. As an Associate Attorney, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive legal support, conducting research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with litigation processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent writing abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position is paid and designed for candidates eager to grow their legal expertise within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Pay is contingent on experience in family and criminal law. The minimum pay is $150,000 with increase in 6 months to $185,000 if able to bill 30 or more hours per week. Duties Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and legal analysis. Draft and review a variety of legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Assist in managing cases across multiple practice areas such as estate planning, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and workers' compensation law. Support attorneys during negotiations by preparing relevant documentation and participating in strategy sessions. Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements within the law office environment. Participate in client meetings to gather information and provide updates under supervision. Contribute to litigation efforts by preparing discovery requests, affidavits, and other court filings as needed. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required. Proven experience or strong interest in practicing multiple areas of law including family and criminal law. Exceptional research skills with proficiency in LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms. Excellent legal writing skills with attention to detail in drafting documents. Prior legal administrative experience is preferred to efficiently manage case workflows. Strong negotiation skills demonstrated through previous coursework or practical experience. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team setting.
